XRP Takes the Daily ETF Flow Lead
On September 8, spot XRP ETFs recorded about $1.55 million in net inflows. That is not a huge sum. But it was enough to make XRP the only major spot crypto ETF category with positive daily flows. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and Hyperliquid products all ended the session with withdrawals.
The comparison is what draws attention. Bitcoin ETFs saw $46.65 million in net outflows, ending a three-day inflow streak. Ethereum spot products lost $24.29 million. Hyperliquid ETFs had $12.96 million in withdrawals. Solana was smaller, with a $667,720 outflow. Against that backdrop, XRP’s $1.55 million inflow looks modest but still rare.
The Bigger XRP ETF Picture
The daily win is not an isolated data point. Five U.S. spot XRP ETFs now hold about $1.51 billion in net assets. Their cumulative net inflows are around $1.69 billion. Over the past 30 days, XRP products brought in roughly $173 million. That suggests some steady demand, even if the totals remain far below Bitcoin’s.
Bitcoin still dominates the broader ETF flow chart. Its total spot ETF inflows sit near $55.59 billion. So one positive day for XRP does not mean institutions are abandoning Bitcoin or rotating hard into XRP. It is too early for that conclusion. A few more sessions would be needed to call it a trend.
Price Action and Market Divergence
The flow divergence is happening while XRP trades between $1.39 and $1.40. The asset remains above its long-term moving average at $1.35. After its August breakout, the rally has cooled, but buyers have not forced a full retreat to pre-breakout levels. That holding pattern may be important if ETF inflows continue.
Other assets are also consolidating. Bitcoin is around $79,000 after its quick recovery, even as its ETFs bled that day. Hyperliquid is near recent highs around $86 despite its outflow. Solana is holding near $104 after touching $110.
For now, XRP has won the daily ETF flow comparison. That is a narrow victory. It could hint at relatively stronger institutional interest if the inflows keep coming while Bitcoin, Solana, and Hyperliquid struggle to attract capital. But one session is not proof. The next few days will show whether this is a real shift or just a quiet day for most crypto ETFs.
