XRP Holds $1.40 as Traders Watch Support
XRP has moved back above $1.40, and the market is focused on whether buyers can keep the price above a cluster of support levels. Analyst Nebraskangooner outlined a long setup on the chart. He placed an entry near $1.43, a stop near $1.31, and a target at $2.12. The trade risks about 8.3% for a potential gain of 48.1%, which gives a risk-reward ratio of roughly 5.8 to 1. Nebraskangooner called the setup a strong risk-reward opportunity, though he said he is not taking the trade himself.
The 99-Day Moving Average Matters
The 99-day simple moving average is acting as support. Nebraskangooner said XRP needs to stay above that level to keep upward momentum. The main support zone sits around $1.31 to $1.32. If price breaks below that area and stays there, the bullish idea would weaken and the trade setup would be invalidated. On the upside, $2.12 is the main target, with resistance around $2.10 to $2.15. At press time, XRP traded near $1.43, up 3.16% in 24 hours. It was one of the stronger major cryptocurrencies while the wider market was mostly flat.
Recovery From August Low
XRP recovered from an early-August low of about $0.987. It climbed to around $1.70 in late August before pulling back. Buyers then found support in the $1.30 to $1.40 range. The coin is now at a decision point. Holding $1.31 to $1.32 keeps the path toward $2.12 open. A decisive break below that support would weaken the bullish outlook. From $1.43, XRP needs to gain about 48% to reach $2.12.
Golden Cross and Range Resistance
Other market watchers are also pointing to a possible golden cross. That signal appears when a shorter-term moving average crosses above a longer-term average. The setup is getting attention because a similar pattern came before XRP rallied from roughly $2.20 to above $3.60, a gain of more than 63%. Past performance does not guarantee another rally, of course. XRP has traded between $1.30 support and $1.50 resistance for about three weeks. The 20-week EMA sits near $1.28, while the 50-week EMA is around $1.53. That makes $1.50 to $1.53 a resistance zone to watch. Analyst ChartNerd said a decisive break above $1.50 could strengthen the bullish case, while a drop below $1.20 would signal weakness.
