Short-Term Bounce Lifts Monad
Monad’s MON token rallied 13.92% over the weekend, climbing from a Saturday low of $0.0245 to a Sunday high of $0.0279. The move came as Bitcoin bounced toward the $84,000 supply zone. That rebound helped altcoins broadly, though short-term sentiment has not fully flipped bullish. Capital rotated into altcoins, and the altcoin market cap rose 2.88% to $1.13 trillion since Friday, 9 October. Perhaps the bounce was mostly a reaction to Bitcoin’s momentum rather than a fresh shift in Monad’s own story. The token remains well below its October rejection point, so the rally looks more like a relief move than a trend change.
Long-Term Concerns Remain
Despite the weekend pop, MON has not cleared a key long-term supply zone. Earlier in October, traders and influencers on X described it as an easy token to short. Entrepreneur and former asset manager Harley Lewis Foote warned that a November mega unlock could push the token into a downward spiral. The unlock is still weeks away, which gives traders time to position, but it also keeps pressure on sentiment. Since 5 October, MON is down 21.3% and was rejected from the $0.033 supply area. That rejection matters because $0.033 had been acting as a ceiling for bulls.
Key Levels to Watch
The pivotal long-term levels are $0.016 and $0.0375. They shape the broader structure, and a break of either could signal the next trend. Gains since July suggest expectations are still cautiously bullish, even with the recent $0.033 rejection. There is also a sizeable imbalance overhead that could threaten buyers. Its midpoint sits near $0.0297. That level lines up with a cluster of short liquidations around $0.030, based on the one-month liquidation heatmap. In the coming days, a move into that area could squeeze shorts. It remains unclear whether spot and perpetuals demand is strong enough to keep the uptrend alive. A breakdown below $0.0209 would mark a bearish internal structure shift on the daily timeframe. For now, a bounce toward $0.030 to $0.033 and the reaction that follows should guide swing traders on their Monad bias.
