Ethereum
Ethereum closed October 16 at $2,420.22 on Kraken, down 0.79% from the prior daily close. Its session high of $2,490.84 did not extend the recovery, so price stayed below the $2,527 to $2,535 highs from earlier in the week. The daily MACD is still negative. The MACD line was at -38.59 against a -9.18 signal line. The histogram improved from -31.29 to -29.41, but that is a narrower bearish gap, not a confirmed bullish crossover. On the four-hour chart, MACD is above its signal line yet below zero. That supports a short-term recovery attempt, perhaps, but not a clear end to the daily decline. A daily close above $2,490.84 would strengthen the case for another test of $2,527 to $2,535. A close below $2,390.35 would expose the October 15 low at $2,313.42.
XRP
XRP closed at $1.30952, down 1.79%. The daily range held above the October 15 low of $1.28274, but the lower close showed rebound demand was not sustained. The 14-period daily RSI fell to 36.37 from 38.75. That is below neutral 50 but not yet in conventional oversold territory under 30. It signals weak momentum, not an automatic reversal. Four-hour RSI at 39.31 also stayed below neutral. Support sits at $1.28274 to $1.28724, the lows of the last two completed sessions. A daily close below $1.28274 would bring the September 16 low of $1.24610 back into view. For recovery, XRP first needs to reclaim $1.33338 and then close above $1.35208. That would improve the chance of a move toward $1.38076 to $1.38535. Holding support alone does not establish a new uptrend.
Hyperliquid
Hyperliquid closed at $80.22, down 1.80%, after trading between $78.35 and $82.44. Successive highs below $83 since October 14 show recovery attempts have struggled. The 20-day EMA was $85.23 and the 50-day EMA was $83.33. Both declined, and price remained below them. Support is at $77.35 to $78.35. A daily close below $77.35 would put the September lows around $76.53 and $75.11 in focus. A close above $82.44 to $82.69 would be the first recovery checkpoint. Regaining the 50-day EMA would strengthen that attempt, with the 20-day EMA as the next resistance level.
Celestia and Lighter
Celestia closed at $0.6877, up 16.60% on October 16, clearing the $0.6321 to $0.6325 highs from October 11 and 13. Kraken recorded 6.97 million TIA traded, about 2.71 times the mean of the prior 20 completed sessions. The higher volume gives the breakout more support than a thin move, though it does not identify the buyers. A daily finish above $0.7221 would confirm further advance. On a pullback, $0.6195 to $0.6325 is the main retest zone. Closing below $0.6195 would weaken the breakout; losing $0.5808 would invalidate the latest upward leg.
Lighter closed at $3.174, up 4.86%. It recovered the prior day’s $3.133 high but stayed below the $3.336 to $3.415 resistance area. The daily Bollinger midpoint was $3.685, with the lower band at $2.890. Price rebounded inside the lower half of the envelope, so this still looks like a recovery within a declining trend. A daily close above $3.336 to $3.415 would improve prospects for a midpoint retest. Support is defined by the $2.918 and $2.997 lows. A close below $2.918 would invalidate the rebound.
