Cardano is drawing attention again after crypto analyst Giannis Andreou outlined a cup-and-handle setup on the weekly chart. The pattern, as he describes it, began after ADA rebounded from the $0.14 to $0.16 range last month and formed a rounded bottom. That is the kind of structure traders often watch for, though it still needs confirmation.
The breakout trigger is clear
For the bullish case to gain weight, ADA needs a weekly close above $0.278, followed by a successful retest of that level. Until then, the setup is incomplete. At the current price, the token is still some distance from the trigger. CoinMarketCap data puts ADA at $0.2238, down about 3% over 24 hours and 11.5% over the past week. It is still up 13.5% over the past month, so part of the earlier recovery remains intact.
Targets depend on confirmation
Andreou’s chart places $0.3633 and $0.3995 in view after a confirmed breakout. The approximate cup-depth target is $0.416, which would mark a 73.5% increase from the chart’s $0.239 reference price. A move beyond those levels could open the door to $0.5116, $0.8059, and $0.9601. The most ambitious target on the chart sits at $1.3291, a potential 477.4% gain from the same reference price.
Those numbers are projections, not promises. Andreou also flagged the risks. Losing the rising support line would weaken the setup, while a breakdown below the $0.14 to $0.16 base would undermine the pattern. With ADA still below $0.278, the token would need to climb roughly 24.2% to reach the breakout area. A weekly close and retest would then matter more than a brief push above the line.
Short-term calls stay cautious
Crypto Banter analyst Sheldon expects ADA to resume its upward move within seven to 10 days. He said on a YouTube livestream that market weakness may last another week or two before cryptocurrencies stage sharp recoveries. He expects ADA to turn green once the consolidation phase ends, especially if prices reach his buying zones.
Crypto commentator George compared the possibility to Solana’s comeback, when SOL rose from $8 in 2022 to an all-time high of $294 in 2025. That is a high bar. ADA’s path would probably depend on sustained buying demand and broader market conditions. For now, the chart setup gives traders a clear level to watch, but it has not been confirmed.
