LayerZero’s ZRO token retreated to about $2.29 on Oct. 12 after hitting a session high of $2.483. The daily low was $2.096. That left it roughly 7.8% below its peak and below daily resistance at $2.344.
The daily gain was still 8.27%, while the latest 4-hour move showed a 3.42% decline. ZRO gave back part of a sharp advance without erasing the day’s gains. It has also recovered from September prices near $1, though the latest move returned it to a zone that held several earlier peaks.
Resistance and Support
TradingView’s daily Murrey Math levels put the nearest resistance at $2.344, just above the market. ZRO briefly traded above it on the way to $2.483, then slipped back underneath. The next higher level is $2.539, followed by $2.734. On the downside, the nearest lower level is $2.148, about 6.2% below $2.29. The session low at $2.096 sits beneath it, then $1.953. The daily Chaikin Money Flow was 0.02, a modest positive reading that had eased from stronger levels earlier in October.
Analyst Limbo described $ZRO as trading at important higher-timeframe resistance and said a move through it would prompt a purchase. Pentoshi noted the resistance test but said he expected the advance to continue.
Channel and Momentum
The 4-hour chart shows an ascending channel from September into October. ZRO fell below its lower boundary during the recent correction, then rebounded toward it. At about $2.29, it was trading near that line. Holding it could support a return into the channel, while renewed weakness would leave the recovery vulnerable.
The 4-hour Supertrend was $2.089, just below the daily low of $2.096. That creates a narrow support band around $2.09 to $2.10. ADX was 24.31 after recovering from a low. It measures trend strength, not direction, so it does not predict the next move.
CoinGlass’s 24-hour liquidation heatmap showed an overhead cluster near $2.50, with more bands at $2.48 to $2.49. Below the market, concentrations appeared around $2.28 to $2.29, $2.24, and $2.21. Lower bands stretched toward $2.09 to $2.10 and about $2.06. The heatmap shows estimated liquidation exposure, not actual forced selling.
Unlock and Institutional News
DefiLlama lists an Oct. 20 unlock of 10.63 million ZRO for core contributors and 13 million for strategic partners. The 23.63 million tokens equal 5.92% of circulating supply and would be worth about $54.1 million at $2.29. The schedule shows when tokens become available, not whether recipients will sell.
The unlock follows exchange changes tied to Stargate Finance’s merger into LayerZero. Binance said on Oct. 7 that it completed the conversion at one STG to 0.08634 ZRO and ended old STG deposits and withdrawals. KuCoin’s Oct. 10 notice used the same ratio and planned to close STG trading and withdrawals.
Anchorage Digital said it selected LayerZero for interoperability supporting stablecoin issuance. The partnership links the project to Anchorage’s U.S. federally chartered crypto bank operations.
The next test is whether ZRO can hold above $2.148 and clear $2.344.
